It still amazes me that people drive through deep water without using a bra. With 120,000 km 50% off road on my 200 series I've never had to replace 1 part other than consumables. I'm thinking u need to stop and let diff and gearboxes cool before driving through water Use a bra on river crossing And ditch the aftermarket stuff

How have you found the Westinghouse induction cooker, have they lasted the test of time. Any issues with the units.? I have the same cooker, a great little unit.

My GX460 has 50k kilos on it and has never been off road. KDSS light has come on the dash. Result, dealer has quoted me a $7,100 plus tax repair bill. What the hell is a city suv doing with this complex system in it.

KDSS is great until you have to have it repaired. The problem is it can’t be repaired. It has to be replaced and that means huge cost to the owner. The unnecessary contraption is fragile and Toyota knows it. The dealers know it and they revel in the money they make to replace a failed KDSS.

Another great video , excellent quality and informative. Can I use brake cleaner first, kerosene and sprite. I think my intercooler is very dirty because of the turbocharger failure and I need extra strong cleaning fluid. Please do you have any suggestions?

Is it really correct that the high speed compression adjustment influences body roll when cornering or braking? I am used to shock tuning on bikes and would use low speed compression to avoid braking dive or adjust behavior related to preloading bike when jumping. The point is that low speed or high speed refer to shock shaft speed and not to how fast you are going... So high-speed relates to square edge hits (like if you ride into a curb) while low speed rather relates to your movements on the bike. Of course there is a bit of a problem that low and high speed compressions are not entirely independent - and hence for instance small chatter is influenced significantly by low speed compression, even if it theoretically should be more high speed - and also setting of the low speed influences how the high speed reacts. But shock manufacturers are trying to isolate it as much as they are able. Is this different in cars?

Regardless of boiling speeds in real world tests.... If you have a generator that uses the same fuel at the same rate as your gas burner and have an induction cooker capable of using as much power as the generator is producing the induction cooker will boil water faster than using the fuel directly.

I see you went from the OME BP51 to the Dobinsons. I have the MMRs in my 105. Toss up between the OMEs and Dobinsons for my 200. What is your short term impression between the 2?

My itech 120x pro died underbonnet in the middle of a cape trip right when i needed it. Im certain heat caused it. It shut down mod morning and did not come back to life until ar least 9pm. Problem was it had massively reduced capacity. It only last a couple of hours then shut off due to voltage. It did this every day whilst on the trip. Itech did warrant it, but i didn't bother putting it back under Bonnet.

Nathan I have the same issue on my 200. I have tried most things to solve the problem. I have a friend who suggested kicking the idle speed up which he uses on his during winter. I did it to my before startup and it fast idled then kept going which it usually stops after five seconds. No priming etc. He said it may be dirt in throttle body. That was his suggestion. You put the muffler in the wrong way, the small hole must be down to allow moisture to go out.

Some stainless steel pans will not work with some induction stoves. Even if it says on the box it will.

My bluetti 200 panels died after 6 x uses, just out of warranty. I'm so disappointed I spent $800 on them. Bluettis' response was to dispose of them correctly. I would not recommend Bluetti solar panels. I am now thinking of my decision to buy an AC180 was not a good one.

You're never going to find a life mate if you're looking for perfection.

You need to get and induction wok heater/stove. I mean a typical Wok uses about 10 kw. An induction heater will use way less 600w to 1500w.

I own it. Left in parkade temperature for months (in car). At full freezer or split -15 to -25 degrees Celsius, eco mode stationary untouched, lasts less than a day (20 to 22 hrs). Why -25 setting? Because in practical use of 25-30 ambient degrees Celsius, this fridge barely holds -4 degrees even though you have it a t much lower temperatures. You need two portable batteries or else this is overall less than a day use.

Would this, if plugged in to my 21ft caravan, charge my 2 x 130ah AGM batteries? I’m looking at getting this to keep my batteries always topped up as we are going to do a lap next year

Boost up your storage at low cost. Buy a LifePo battery 100ah (1280Wh). At this storage capacity you are looking at minimum 800$ if you get a power station, vs 250$ if you get a battery. Use it as a power bank for your bluetti.

I have a 13inch cast iron skillet and my biggest problem with cheap induction cooktops are the size of the actual induction coils which mostly are not the size of the white perimeter painted on the stovetop. Because they heat up so quickly and usually not over the entire pan surface, they can cause warping of your pans. You will find that everything cooks much quicker on the centre of the pan where the outer circle remains raw. That is because there is no coil under the outer part of your pan. The biggest induction coil I could find is a 9 inch one in the Breville Control Freak. That is really a nice single plate, but at $2100, it is very, very expensive. The only other solution is stainless steel pans which has a aluminium core for heat conduction, which will cause a more even cook for things like steak and bacon. I would love your thoughts on my comments, as you might have a solution I have not found yet. Ps, your home stovetop would have the same issue with pans, unless you use stainless steel ones. Which brand failed you twice? I would be curious to know.

I bought a pair of single burner induction burners a few years ago and mine have digital temperature settings that you can use to choose which temperature you want the pan to heat up to and the unit will cycle on and off automatically to maintain that temperature. I haven’t used them for camping yet, but plan to in the near future. I have a pair of Anker 2048 watt hour power stations and 1000 watts of solar panels to keep them both charged up, so I think that I’ll be okay with my electrical setup.

Are you sure this is equivalent to 170 ah ??? , 2,048 watt-hours divided by the 51 volts gives exactly 40 Amp-hours
